Aged 10 - 14 years
	Guides are girls aged between 10 and 14 and there are millions of us around the world! Being a Guide opens up a whole new world that's yours for the taking!  You'll have a laugh with new friends and get involved in all kinds of activities that you woldn't find in school or at home.
As a Guide, you'll spend lots of time in your patrol.  We're talking about a group of friendly girls - small enough so that everyone feels they belong and big enough to be a team that makes things happen! Guides get up to everything and more!  From organising fashion shows and football matches to doing our bit for the environment, it's all there for the taking.  There are special events like camping trips and outings, as well as your chance to get stuck into Go For Its.  So, even if you think you know what Guides is all about - we're sure you'll be surprised! Come and join us!
What We Wear
Guide wear is now the girls' choice of tops worn with any bottoms including trousers, leggings, skirts, jeans or shorts.  Choose from t-shirts, rugby shirts or sweatshirts and a gilet for extra warmth - plus check out the new striped polo shirt.  These are all exclusive to Girlguiding UK and they're only for Guides! A girl chooses from the range of Guide clothes. A Guide may choose to wear trousers, skirt or shorts of any colour, provided they are appropriate for the activity or the occasion. In each unit, the Patrol Leaders’ Council decides whether or not the members of the unit may wear a neckerchief, but the individual Guide does not have to wear one. The Patrol Leaders’ Council also choose the colour.
